These terms cover the website build and hosting service I offer through this site. Please read them alongside the pricing bundles on the homepage — together they explain what you're agreeing to if we work together.
I'm Andy, trading as Safe Serve Solutions. You can reach me at andrew.holland@safeservegroup.co.uk.
I design, build, and host websites for freelancers and small businesses, as described in the Starter, Growth, Complete, and Shop bundles on this site. The Pricing section of the homepage sets out what's included in each bundle and the current prices, and takes precedence over any general description here.
Before any work begins, we'll agree the bundle, the price, and what I need from you (content, logo, colours, domain details, and so on) — usually gathered through my questionnaire. Work starts once that's confirmed.
Prices are as shown on the site at the time you enquire. I'll always confirm the exact figure with you directly before starting any work, and I won't change it without telling you first.
If you already own a domain, we'll connect it to your new site — you keep ownership of it throughout. If you need a new domain, this is arranged and charged separately (typically £10–£20/year, depending on the domain), and it's registered in your name, not mine.
Your site is hosted through my Netlify account as part of the monthly fee. This keeps things simple and lets me manage updates and fixes quickly. See "If you decide to stop" below for what happens if you want to move it elsewhere.
Once your site is live, small changes and updates are covered under your monthly fee as described in your bundle (for example, fortnightly updates on Starter and Growth). Larger changes — a full redesign, a new set of features, extra pages beyond your bundle — may be quoted separately, and I'll always tell you before any extra cost applies.
You can cancel the monthly hosting and maintenance fee at any time by letting me know — there's no lock-in contract. If you cancel, your site comes down once your final paid period ends.
If you'd like to keep your site running independently on your own hosting, let me know and I'll help you migrate it where reasonably possible. Depending on complexity, this may take some time and could carry a small fee to cover it. If you provided your own domain, it remains yours and I'll release it back to your control if you leave.
I'm upfront on the homepage that I'm not a website designer by trade — I build straightforward, honest sites rather than elaborate custom design work. I can't guarantee specific search engine rankings, a set number of enquiries, or particular business outcomes — nobody honestly can. What I can promise is a site that's fast, clear, mobile-friendly, and built properly for what you're paying.
If I haven't delivered what was agreed, get in touch and I'll put it right or offer a partial refund of the build fee, assessed fairly case by case. Monthly fees already paid for hosting and maintenance already provided aren't refundable, since that service has already been delivered.
I'll do my best to keep your site online and working, but as with any web hosting, I can't guarantee 100% uptime or that the site will be completely free of errors. I'm not liable for indirect losses (such as loss of business) arising from downtime or site issues, beyond what's required by UK law.
I ask that content on your site doesn't include anything illegal, defamatory, or that infringes someone else's rights. I reserve the right to decline or stop hosting content that breaches this.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
